Kdo smo?

Naša organizacija se ukvarja z aktivnim preživljanjem prostega časa mladih. Imamo veliko izkušenj z mednarodnimi projekti (sodelovanje s pobratenimi mesti iz tujine, projekti Mladi v akciji, EVS). Ukvarjamo se z mladinskim turizmom v sodelovanju z lokalno mladino, aktivno sodelujemo s šolami, mladinskimi centri in drugimi organizacijami v občini in širši Koroški regiji.

Smo tudi info. center za mlade. Mladim prek spleta, info. pisarne in neposrednih obiskov na šolah prenašamo informacije s področja neformalnega izobraževanja, medkulturnega dialoga, aktivnega državljanstva, prostovoljstva, zdravja, preventive, multimedije, športa in zabave. Zadnjih 10 let redno prijavljamo programe Erasmus + (prej tudi MVA). Uspešno smo prijavili pester nabor mladinskih izmenjav, usposabljanj za mladinske delavce in EVS. Sodelovali smo v različnih projektih v Gruziji, Latviji, Hrvaški, Romuniji, Češki in Moldaviji, Franciji itd.

Zakaj sodelujemo v projektu?

V skladu s tem bo korist in učinek projekta izboljšanje kompetenc mladih, večja socialna vključenost, boljša zaposljivost, povečana socialna mreža. Projekt bo mladim nudil varno okolje in strokovno pedagoško vodstvo.

Public Institute for Tourism, Sports, Youth and Social Programs SPOTUR Slovenj Gradec

MKC Slovenj Gradec has a long history of working on youth projects on local and international level, aiming to promote intercultural dialogue, social cohesion and inclusion of young people with fewer  opportunities. Many of these projects have included various forms of cultural expressions (art, dance, music, sport) as a means of reaching young people. Every summer we participate in local events  for children where we organize workshops with the children on for example percussions, traditional and contemporary dance, calligraphy and various arts and crafts. We also use sport and music in several of our international training courses which we organize throughout the year.

One of the main mission of our organization is  to encourage development of civil society.

For the last 15 years we have been working and participating on several international projects, Erasmus +. We have reliable partners from Georgia, Latvia, Croatia, Romania, Czech Republic, Moldavia and France.

The main challenge of youth sector work has always been the development of comprehensive and effective models of engaging the youth. With this project, we are upscaling our current activities by implementing new methods of youth work in order to bolster active citizen participation amongst the youth of the Carinthia region.

The results we are striving towards include youth empowerment and competence building, social inclusion, higher employability, and the formation of a region-wide youth platform. The project also emphasizes the need for new, experience based (learning-by-doing) modes and techniques of approaching the youth, thus making the latter more susceptible for further active participation.

The project builds on non-formal learning and aims to devise innovative individual as well as group approaches to creativity, innovation, resourcefulness  and non-formal education, which is in line with the current EU strategical documents in the field of youth work.

The “KOR-NET” project also focuses on empowerment and professional training of youth workers, mainly in the fields of media literacy and contemporary youth sector approaches. Career guidance and professional advancement of such workers is a prerequisite for a flourishing youth sector in the region. It is also a necessary HR investment into high-quality, user-oriented youth work on the local, regional, national and international level.

Users will be encouraged to take active part in the project by sharing their views and ideas concerning society, which will further contribute to a sense of belonging (inclusion) and individual and/or collective identity. It also hopes to spark intercultural and intergenerational dialogue by providing a safe space and guidance for the young to build on the necessary skillset, allowing them to evolve into independent, responsible, and socially aware individuals.
